Any ignition on the body surface or organ by the means of external factors like heat, corrosive agent and radiation and led to the formation of the bump on the skin surface is called burn. The intensity of the occurrence of the burn wound depends on the depth of the tissues come in contact with the factors that cause burns. The classification of burns depends on the depth of the skin which is affected and factors that leads to cause changes in the skin to form burn. The 2nd and 3rd-degree burns are treated by using various antibiotics and topical agents. There are many natural polymers and products which are also used to treat different types of burns. The present review will give a piece of information regarding the herbal treatments which were used to treat 2nd and 3rd-degree burns in different models along with their resultsin recent time and will also be helpful in the improvement of the burnt skin using plant extract and herbal therapy.
