Title

A review on Synthesis of biomedical device from biological waste material

Abstract

Abstract: A biomaterial is a nonviable material used in a medical device, intended to interact with biological system. We must all be familiar by now with how fast the pace of medical sciences is evolving and how it has revolutionized treatment irrespective of whatever field it may be ranging from radiotherapy to pharmacy or orthopedics to dermatology, we now have a treatment for almost everything. The science and technique of artificially aiding body parts by modifying it by introducing foreign substances has been proved to be primitive. Hydroxyapatite is an essential part of the bone and teeth, it is what makes up of the minerals of the bones and the matrix of the teeth. Hydroxyapatite accounts for the rigidity of the bones and the teeth. Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring mineral form of calcium apatite and has been found to be an excellent substitute material for bone repair primarily due to its property of being biocompatible. There are many ways to synthesize hydroxyapatite but we are looking for synthesis from a cheap source from biological waste material.
