Agriculture land is limited in the world but population of the world is increasing day by day, Food is basic need of any live organism on that earth, so we have to make our land more productive and decrease the loses by the pest to fulfill the food requirements of the large population. Yield loses due to the pest are very high and control of them is always a challenge for the farmers. Chemical pesticides are affective but have disadvantages like resistance, non-target killing and residues in crops. IPM is the modern method to control the pest. So, IPM encourages the use of all the methods like cultural methods, physical methods and chemical methods to control the pest. Chemicals are used in very severe conditions and only the recommended dosages will be used. Natural enemies or Plant extracts are the base of the modern IPM. The best way to control the pest is by the use of IPM strategies.
