Title

Integrated Nutrient Management (INM): A solution for food security in developing countries

Abstract

In the earlier time, the system of farming was easily manged without use of any kind of chemical fertilizer or its by-product. The application of fertillizer came to action during the mid-19th century during the green revolution period in respect to full fill the increasing demand for food and nutrition. But with rapid change in agricultural system, the organic framing came into action in order to avoid application of fertillizers and to integrate a eco-friendly approach on farming system. But it failed to fullfill the needs of the increasing population in terms demand for food security. So the term integrated nutrient management came into action which has the ability to rehabilate the yield as well as ensure the better quality of crop produced in comparison to the sole dependency on the chemical fertilizers only. Integrated nutrient management (INM) is a proper application of chemical along with organic fertilizers for better yield and quantity of the produce in respect to fullfill the nutritional and food security of the nation.Improved crop growth and less environmental impacts can be attained through INM because it is more eco-friendly approach as compared to the chemical approach.
