Title

A Survey On Filter Bank Technologies

Abstract

This paper looks at the advantages of Universal Multi Carrier Filtering (UFMC). It is a multi-carrier modulation technique for fifth generation network (5 G).It includes the principle of orthogonality in the multiplexing of signal named as the Orthogonal Frequency Multiplexing Division (OFDM). The OFDM approach is getting increasingly inefficient with the advent of the Internet of Things (IOT) and the user-centric connectivity push. Filter Bank Multi Carrier (FBMC) is also another strategy of multi carrier that is better than OFDM which has several realistic problems. So, a move to another multicarrier.
