Title

Entrepreneurial Orientation and Marketing Orientation among Dairy Farmers: A Review Journey

Abstract

India is the agrarian economy and dairying is the significant activity among the farmers. Around half of the milk delivered in India is devoured by the makers themselves, and the rest is disseminated in the market.During 2017-18, the per capita accessibility of milk in India was 375 gm/day and by 2033-34, it is assessed to increment to 614gms/day justified by National action plan for dairy development Vision 2022 (MAFW, GOI 2018). There is a need to make them aware of the upcoming rising demands of the milk as the existing dairies will not be able to accomplish those future demands.Entrepreneurship seems to be the only solution as it will contribute to an organized sector in the milk industry and employment opportunities will be generated. It is essential to enhance entrepreneurship and for that purpose, we have to examine their intention. In like manner, there would be a need to expand milk supply to satisfy the developing need.So, in this research study efforts are made to study the literature review of entrepreneurial orientation and marketing orientation among the small farmers so as to know the entrepreneurial intention of the farmers. Efforts are made to cover all the factors that can lead to entrepreneurial intention among farmers because eventually entrepreneurial intention leads to the entrepreneurial behaviour.
