Title

Implementation Of Five Level Multistring Multilevel Inverter With Less Device Count For Off Grid PV Systems

Abstract

This paper shows the implementation of a five level multistring multilevel inverter in off grid applications using Karnaugh mapping technique. This paper shows a recent topology, reliable and methodical Multilevel Inverter (MLI) known as Multistring Multilevel Inverter (MMLI). This system of multilevel inverter uses less count of switches along with worthier feature of output voltage waveform having reduced total harmonic distortion and improved fundamental RMS voltage value in comparison to that of conventional converter. Hence, it is used here by using karnaugh mapping technique to find switching schemes of the switches. Here, the new topology reduces the switch count by two in each phase. When we increase the levels of MLI’s, the requirement of number of switches increases ,infect the gap of requirement of switches by MMLI and conventional inverters also increases, which brings out the superiority of MMLI.
