In this paper, various video quality assessment methods are reviewed and presented. Video quality is a major concern in multimedia communication. The videos quality assessment by tracing watermarking along with new color space is reviewed and illustrated. Further, blind assessment technique for video quality with its different variants has been reviewed and presented. Finally, assessment of video quality using convolutional neural networks and 3D Shearlet Transform, video quality assessment using hybrid distortion ranking tuned bitstream layer, video quality assessment using bitrate and use of weakly supervised learning and resampling strategy for video quality assessment are discussed.
