A coming of age novel filled with fiction and fantasy that takes us on a journey of the wizardly world of Hogwarts. Rowling filled the book with magic, with flying brooms, witches and wizards. She wrote a child fiction but it has also been successful for attracting readers from adult age group. It is not just considered as a novel but a feminine. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is truly an inspiration not only to children but to adults as well. The tales of bravery, wit and intelligence of three best friends shed the light upon human nature and behaviour. Rowling’s great command on the psyche of human nature led her to write a wonderful child fiction which ticks all the boxes for an adult reader too. She not only portrait human relationship and behaviour but through this book she informed reader about harsh realities of life and how to tackle them using imagination. The magical world of Harry is no different to the real world. There are concept of good and bad, right and wrong, hero and villain and many more. This research paper will shed light upon the aspects of adult life through the child fiction.
