CoCl2/ polyaniline composites with varying CoCl2 concentration have been synthesized and examined for electrical and structural modifications in polyaniline to explore the effect of addition of CoCl2 in these properties of doped polyaniline. FTIR spectral peaks attributed to various entities present in polyaniline and the peak due to δ (C-H) mono-substituted ring stretches at 1084.0305 cm-1 decreases in intensity and shift towards larger wave number. The study has shown that the reduction in polarization reduces the dielectric constant resulting decrease in capacitance. Dielectric losses have also been found to decrease exponentially with frequency upto 106 Hz and then an increase in losses have been observed.
