Title

Static Properties Studies of Banana Fiber Composites

Abstract

Natural fibers are highly available in nature. The utilization of natural resources is highly useful as compared to the synthetic fibers. So, there is a need for making composite panel with light weight and lower cost. In this study, chemically treated banana fiber reinforced epoxy composites is manufactured by using press. The mechanical properties of the composites are analyzed by universal testing machine. The results indicated that mechanical properties are higher at 40 % of volume fraction. The optimized composite material is used in various commercial and house hold appliances.
