Title

Use of coke in Ferro Chrome conversion

Abstract

In one of the Ferro Chrome making plant a cost reduction drive was taken to reduce the conversion cost of the existing process. This was necessary due to the falling price of Ferro Chrome in the domestic as well as international market. Value Engineering methodology was chosen as the tool to achieve the cost reduction.
