Rapid urbanization of cities at the cost of excess utilization of natural resources has become a concern of future survival needs. One such depleting natural resource is the groundwater. The jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is also affected with this depletion. Therefore, the study intends to analyze the condition of groundwater resources in the pre monsoon and post monsoon time scale with the availability of runoff throughout the year. The study is focused broadly in the PCMC region with specific areas of Chinchwad, Ravet, Akurdi and Nigdi. The project intends to create awareness of increasing ground water level by surface runoff which usually gets polluted by allowing it to flow in sewers and open drainage canals. Relation of Demand and Supply of water is concluded further in the paper.
