Due to the complexity of Online learning experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critically important to gain a nuanced understanding of how students perform in this environment. This study is an essential survey which aims to analyses the perception of literature students regarding the challenges in attending online classes during the COVID-19 outbreak. This survey is taken from I BA Tamil, Part II English students in PSG College of Arts and Science. Twenty-five students have responded to this survey. This article also attempts to propose few ways to overcome the challenges faced by students learning English as a second language online.
