With a huge abundance of data and information, there is a need for high security. Face Recognition is a fast-growing and interesting area in the present scenario due to its wide variety of uses in different fields. In the last decades, a large number of algorithms have been developed for facial recognition such as SVM, Neural Network, Naive Bayes Classifiers, Sparse Network of Winnows, and Hidden Markov Model. In this paper, an attempt is made to review a wide range of methods used for facial recognition comprehensively.
