Learning is a process which involves active engagement. Due to tremendous progress in information and communication technology, the scenario of contemporary teaching techniques has drastically changed. Increasing globalization has made English language the international link language. English is the language of world having the features of great mobility. English determines our access to domains of knowledge and is used as medium of communications. The importance of this language in modern India cannot be overstated. Hence, our students must not lag behind in acquiring the mastery over this “modern window of the world”. The demand made on English language teachers are steadily increasing Teaching English depends on the excellence, skills and update knowledge of English teachers. People often say that language teaching is an art, it is a highly skilled activity which demands that English language teachers must be innovative, imaginative and resource full. They must adopt innovative technique like – Brain Storming, Quizzes, Task Based, activities, computer Based Instructions and so on so forth. Therefore the English teacher should have the wide – ranging enthusiasm and imagination. By inculcating the sense of innovation, we could make the learner community able enough to aspire for the best.
