The scientific foundations of health encompass diverse disciplines and approaches that collectively contribute to understanding human well-being. This review synthesises recent studies across fields such as biomedicine, epidemiology, environmental health, and preventive medicine to examine the key determinants of health. Our survey of twenty recent studies highlights the impact of genetic, environmental, lifestyle, and socio-economic factors on health outcomes. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the theories and mechanisms underlying health sciences, contributing to a holistic understanding of health promotion and disease prevention.
