Title

IOT-BASED AUTOMATIC WATER LEVEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR DAMS UTILIZING ULTRASONIC SENSING TECHNOLOGY.

Abstract

Effective water level management is crucial for the safety and operational efficiency of dams. Traditional methods for monitoring water levels often involve manual measurements or outdated sensing technologies, which can be prone to errors and inefficiencies. This paper presents an innovative IoT-based automatic water level management system for dams, leveraging ultrasonic sensing technology to provide accurate and real-time data . The proposed system integrates ultrasonic sensors to measure water levels with an Internet of Things (IoT) framework to enable remote monitoring and management. The ultrasonic sensors, installed at strategic locations in the dam, continuously transmit data regarding water levels to a central control unit. This data is then processed and analyzed using advanced algorithms to predict water level trends and identify potential issues . The IoT platform facilitates the remote monitoring of water levels through a user-friendly interface, accessible via web or mobile applications. Alerts and notifications are generated based on predefined thresholds, allowing for timely intervention in case of anomalies. Additionally, historical data analytics provided by the system help in decision-making and long-term planning . This approach enhances the reliability and efficiency of water level management, reducing the risk of dam failures and optimizing water resource utilization. The integration of ultrasonic sensing technology with IoT not only improves accuracy but also ensures a proactive management strategy, contributing to the overall safety and sustainability of dam operations.
