The rapid advancement of technology has transformed the financial services industry, giving rise to Financial Technology (Fintech). Fintech is intersection of finance and technology, aiming to enhance and automate financial services. Capital markets, which facilitate the buying and selling of securities, have been significantly impacted by Fintech. The emergence of Fintech in capital markets has led to increased efficiency, transparency, and security. Digital trading platforms, blockchain-based securities, and digital payment systems are some examples of Fintech innovations in capital markets. Despite the benefits, Fintech adoption in capital markets also poses challenges and risks, including regulatory uncertainty, cybersecurity threats, market volatility, and systemic risk.
