Abstract
Pain management is a significant concern in healthcare, with acute pain requiring immediate and effective interventions. Ayurvedic medicine, a traditional system of healing, provides a plethora of plant-based remedies with therapeutic potential. Cocculus hirsutus, commonly known as "Jaljamini" or "Broom Creeper," is one such plant with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic properties1. This paper explores the phytochemical composition, traditional uses, and scientific evidence supporting the use of Cocculus hirsutus in managing acute pain.
