Title

Clinical study of Ayurveda Parasurgical method Viddha Karma in Avabahuk w.s.r. to Frozen Shoulder

Abstract

Avabahuk has annoying symptoms that have a greater impact on a patient quality of life. Modern medicine lags in giving a permanent solution for Avabahuk. Ayurveda has a certain potential to tackle Vataj diseases.In the study Avabahuk was treated with Viddha Karma. Total 15 patients were selected from OPD according to inclusive criteria. Total 3 settings of Viddha karma were done on day 1, day 4 and day 7. Results were gained in the symptoms i.e. Bahupraspandita hara was relieved by 51.85%, Shoola relieved by 53.85%, and Stambha relieved by 52.63%, Amsashosha was relieved by 50.00%. The procedure was simple, economical, can be done in OPD level & gives up to 52% instant relief to most of the patients.
