With its rich cultural heritage, diverse natural landscapes, and close-knit communities, Wanaparthy is poised to leverage these alternative employment avenues to improve local livelihoods. This article explores sustainable livelihood models through eco-tourism and rural tourism in Wanaparthy, focusing on how these sectors can provide alternative sources of income, alleviate poverty, and promote sustainable development. The paper also examines the challenges and opportunities of promoting tourism in this rural region and proposes strategies for developing a thriving eco-tourism and rural tourism sector that benefits both the environment and local communities. In recent years, rural areas like Wanaparthy have begun to explore alternative avenues for economic development, including eco-tourism and rural tourism.
