Road accidents are among the leading causes of fatalities worldwide, often exacerbated by delays in emergency response. This paper proposes an IoT-based accident alert and location tracking system capable of detecting vehicular accidents in real time and promptly notifying emergency services. The system identifies sudden impacts and immediately retrieves the vehicle’s geographical location, sending an automated call and SMS containing a location link to a predefined emergency contact. Simultaneously, it captures an image of the accident scene and records surrounding audio, which are then transmitted via email and stored in the cloud for further analysis. By combining real-time accident detection, location tracking, multimedia data capture, and automated alert transmission, the system aims to reduce response time and improve the chances of timely medical assistance, thereby enhancing road safety.
