Title

Quantum Computing: A Comprehensive Review of Fundamentals, Technological Advances, and Practical Applications

Abstract

A new paradigm known as "quantum computing" uses the ideas of quantum mechanics, including superposition, entanglement, and quantum interference, to carry out calculations in radically different ways. Quantum computers use qubits, which allow them to process complicated problems more effectively than classical computers that rely on bits. Major tech corporations and academic organizations have contributed to the field's recent significant breakthroughs in theoretical frameworks and hardware implementations. This review paper offers a thorough overview of the state of quantum computing today, including fundamental ideas [4,6,11,19] well-known quantum algorithms like Shor's and Grover's, quantum hardware architectures, programming frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq, and important applications in material science, cryptography, and optimization. The main obstacles to widespread implementation are also covered, including as scalability, error correction, and qubit decoherence. This study attempts to provide a clear perspective of where the discipline stands today and what lies ahead by identifying outstanding topics and integrating current research advancements. It is anticipated that as quantum technologies advance, they will completely alter how we think about computation and provide fresh answers to issues that were previously thought to be intractable.
