The rapid growth of urban populations, coupled with increasing demands for sustainable development, has led to the concept of Smart Cities—urban environments that leverage advanced technologies to improve the quality of life for residents while ensuring environmental sustainability. Central to the Smart City concept is the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with data analytics to manage resources efficiently, enhance public services, and address complex urban problems. AI-driven data analytics refers to the use of AI techniques, such as machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and natural language processing (NLP), to analyze vast quantities of data collected from sensors, IoT devices, and other sources in real-time. These technologies have the ability to uncover hidden patterns and provide actionable insights that can drive smarter decision-making in city management. This paper provides a comprehensive examination of the advancements in AI-driven data analytics for Smart Cities, focusing on key areas of application, benefits, challenges, and the future potential of these technologies to create more sustainable, resilient, and intelligent urban environments.
