Title

Soil mapping and analysis using remote sensing and GIS

Abstract

To prevent further damage to the land and ensure the safety of the food, it is crucial to closely monitor and evaluate soil erosion. This process offers essential scientific data for developing effective practices, policies, and implementing precautionary measures. A soil survey aids in predicting the qualities and potential of various soil types by compiling an inventory of soil types and their distribution. The process of helping something to make progress and succeed in computer and information technology have introduced new methods of mapping soil resources. These methods, which analyze various soil characteristics over time and across different locations, include remote sensing(rs),geographic information system(gis),global positioning system(gps). The development of rs technology has mostly contributed to research related to soil erosion. Allowing scientist to accurately assess and inform soil erosion related challenges. At the same time remote sensing is also an important tool in soil erosion related research techniques. In the coming years, research on soil erosion using rs has made significant advancements. The study regarding this is to summarize the present state of rs applications in research of soil erosion and its advancements. It discovers that remote sensing data sources are mostly utilized and presents innovative methods for extracting information related to soil erosion using remote sensing data. Furthermore, it investigates the role of rs in the development and application of widely used models for simulating and predicting soil erosion. The study also investigates remote sensing methods for examining the factors that contribute to soil erosion. Furthermore this paper highlights the potential of rs techniques in soil erosion research to support acceptable land management and environment maintenance efforts. It highlights the current challenges in this area of study and proposes future objectives.

Key Words
