The Security concern is one of the most important issues in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) due to the deficiency of centralized authority and constrained resources. This paper examines various types of security attacks in MANET, with a particular focus on Sybil attacks, which are among the most severe threats. Taxonomy and threats of Sybil attacks in extraordinary surroundings are presented. Comparative evaluation has been carried out on various detection strategies to mitigate Sybil attacks which gives efficiency, obstacles, and software area of every of these approaches. This paper also presents a novel approach for detecting Sybil attacks that relies on clustering combined with resource testing.
