Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain are playing a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of financial services globally. In the Indian context, these technologies are being rapidly adopted to drive improvements in automation, transparency, and operational efficiencyparticularly in sectors such as payments, regulatory compliance, and decentralized finance (DeFi). This paper provides analysis of significant case studies from 2025.The realtime blockchainbased payment solution developed by Axis Bank and J.P. Morgan, Zeta’s Web3integrated banking platform, ONDC’s dataintegrated lending framework, and Neurofin’s compliance automation framework powered by generative AI. The analysis highlights how the fusion of AI and blockchain is being implemented, the underlying technical models, and their business and regulatory implications. The findings suggest that this integration is not only enabling financial innovation but also laying the groundwork for a smarter, more secure, and inclusive financial infrastructure in India.
