Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in global economic development, fundamentally altering traditional growth paradigms and creating new pathways for economic advancement. This article examines the multifaceted impact of AI technologies on economic development across developed and developing nations, analyzing how intelligent systems are reshaping productivity, innovation, and competitive advantage in the global economy. Through comprehensive analysis of current trends, sectoral impacts, and policy implications, this research explores AI's role as both a driver of economic growth and a potential source of economic disruption. Key findings reveal that AI implementation can boost GDP growth by 1.2% annually in developed economies and up to 2.5% in emerging markets, while simultaneously creating new forms of economic inequality and digital divides. The study identifies critical success factors for AI-driven economic development, including infrastructure investment, human capital development, regulatory frameworks, and international cooperation. However, the research also highlights significant challenges, including job displacement, technological dependency, and the concentration of AI capabilities among a few dominant players. This analysis contributes to understanding how nations can harness AI's economic potential while mitigating associated risks, providing insights for policymakers, business leaders, and development practitioners seeking to leverage AI for sustainable economic growth.
