The rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has significantly transformed academic practices in teaching, learning, and research. While AI-based tools offer opportunities for enhanced productivity, personalized learning, and efficient research processes, they simultaneously raise serious concerns regarding academic integrity and ethical conduct. Issues such as plagiarism, authorship ambiguity, data privacy, algorithmic bias, hallucinations and over-dependence on AI challenge traditional academic values. This paper examines the implications of AI on academic integrity, identifies major ethical concerns in the academic environment, and suggests strategies to promote responsible and ethical AI use. The study pays attention on emphasizing the need for clear institutional policies, ethical AI literacy, and assessment reforms to uphold academic honesty in the AI era.
