A descriptive survey was conducted to assessment of knowledge regarding telemedicine, utilization of telemedicine and barriers hindering utilization among community health officer (CHO) with the objective to assessment knowledge of CHO regarding telemedicine, determine the utilization of telemedicine by CHO, identify barriers hindering during utilization of telemedicine among CHO and to find out the association between selected demographic variables and level of knowledge at selected rural community, West Bengal. The conceptual framework adopted for the study was based on Professor Kaoru Ishikawa in 1960s as Fishbone model or Ishikawa diagram. The reliability of the tool was established by split half reliability method, the value of Tool-II, is 0.8110 (knowledge regarding telemedicine) for Tool-III, 0.8134 (utilization of telemedicine) and Tool-IV is 0.8230(barriers hindering telemedicine).The study findings have several implications for nursing service and education, administration and research. The study recommended for future researcher regarding generalization and assess of various factors effective of barriers hindering utilization.

Knowledge on Telemedicine In this study knowledge on telemedicine involves knowing the medical applications of telemedicine, telemedicine infrastructure, telemedicine tools such as teleconsultation, examination and knowing the effect of telemedicine on quality of care, cost and time as measured by structured questionnaire. Utilization of Telemedicine In this study utilization of Telemedicine refers to use of computer applications and telecommunication technologies to deliver clinical services remotely in order to improve the accessibility and quality of care among patients and healthcare provider as a measured by record analysis. Barrier In this study barrier hindering of telemedicine refer to problem facing during utilizing of Telemedicine as measured by semi-structured interview schedule.
