Title

Impact of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Versus Non–Weight-Bearing Exercise Programs on Quality of Life in Diabetic Neuropathy Patients.”

Abstract

The study evaluated the effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) technique versus non-weight bearing exercises on improving quality of life in diabetic neuropathy patients. The objectives were to evaluate the impact of PNF, assess non-weight bearing exercises, and compare their effectiveness. The study was approved by Jagannath University's ethical committee, and participants provided informed consent. PNF exercises were superior to non-weight bearing exercises in improving balance, quality of life, and some aspects of neuropathy, with greater and more sustained improvements seen in the PNF group by 8 weeks. Both interventions were beneficial, but PNF provided additional clinically and statistically significant advantages. The study concluded that PNF showed significant improvements in balance, quality of life, and neuropathy scores, with greater gains than non-weight bearing exercises.
