Abstract

This Paper attempts to study the Effect of Socio-Economic Status on Academic Achievement of secondary Students in the District of North 24 Parganas. This research explores the issue of family socio-Economic status on students academic achievement in secondary school. The work revealed parental level of education may effect students reading habit. It recommended that parent should diversity their sources of income so, that they can provide for their children in schools.
