Title

INFLUENCE OF OCCUPATIONAL STATUS ON PERSONALITY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the present study an attempt is made to study the influence of occupational status on personality of physical Education Teachers of Government and private schools of Gulbarga District. A sample of 200 Teachers (both male & female) was chosen from Gulbarga city. Personality scale EPQR was administrated. It was hypothesized that Teachers of different occupational status have different personality dimensions. The statistical tests like, ‘t’- test was applied to analyze the result. This Study clearly revealed that male Teachers exhibited higher level psychoticism, extraversion, and neuroticism than the females Teachers. Similarly, Government school Teachers has higher scores in psychoticism, extraversion, and neuroticism than the Private school Teachers of Gulbarga district.
