Chittaranjan Mushahary is the first Bodo novelist in the history of Bodo literature. The novel ‘Zuzaini Or’ (The Fire of Husk) is the first published novel in 1970. The novel is written based on the social picture of the Bodo society. The novel depicted the tragedy love story of Alaisri and Ajoy. A female character, Alaisri is the protagonist role of this novel. Alaisri who is a single daughter with smooth and simple behavior hails from poor and illiterate family background and also expert in domestic works from her childhood. The novelist expresses his philosophical thoughts by Alaisri’s character. The novelist also depicted simplicity and good moral character of Bodo girls through Alaisri’s character in this novel. Therefore, this present paper intends to highlight the brief analyze on the female character of the novel ‘Zuzaini Or’ written by Chittaranjan Mushahary.
