FUNDAMENTALS AND LITERATURE REVIEW OF FOURIER TRANSFORM

Abstract
The Fourier Transform is a tool that breaks a waveform or a function of signal into an alternate representation, characterized by sine and cosines. The Fourier Transform shows that any waveform can be re-written as the sum of sinusoidal functions. A Fourier series is an expansion of a periodic function f(x) in terms of an infinite sum of sines and cosines. Fourier series make use of the orthogonality relationships of the sine and cosine functions. This paper presents basic of Fourier transform and its review of literature.
