This paper has empirically explored and investigates the impact of COVID - 19on the volatility of stock prices in Indian Financial Market. Help of the Daily closing prices of BSE (Bombay stock exchange) and COVID - 19 confirmed cases from 1st April 2020 to 29th April 2020 has been used for the analysis. The current study has undertaken comparison of stock price with COVID - 19 confirmed cases during the period of 1st April 2020 to 29th April 2020.Findings reveal that the stock market price in India has experienced volatility due to spread of COVID -19 virus during the pandemic period .While comparing the result during 1st April 2020 to 29th April 2020, we found that the stock market prices were consistently decreasing with the increase in the COVID19 confirmed cases which caused Negative effect on Indian Stock Market.
