Title

The status of the inclusive education resource centers in and around the district of Hyderabad

Abstract

The main aim of this research paper is to know the infrastructure facilities available at Inclusive Education Resource Centre (IERC) and the functioning of IERC. A survey method was adopted for present study for data collection. The sample for the present study constitutes 40 resource teachers who are purposively selected from the Hyderabad district only. Interview schedule was used to find out the infrastructure facilities and functioning of the IERC. The data collected was coded and represented in the form of averages. The findings of this study reveals that, the resource teachers do not get any assistance expect 30% of the resource teachers who get assistance. 97% of the resource teachers encourage co-operative and peer tutoring. 100% of the resource provides guidance to the parent. Based on the need they also give reference of the specialist to the parent. Only 6% of the resource teachers co-ordinate with NGO/volunteer organization and provide placement services to the special children.
