Marriage can be companionship. However, Companionship cannot be a marriage. The Society from the beginning believes that for two persons of opposite genders to be or to live together should be necessarily wedded so that they don't encounter with immoral activities or labels. Marriage is the process by which two people make their relationship public, official, and permanent. Marriage, also called matrimony or wedlock, is a socially or ritually recognized union between spouses that establishes rights and obligations between them and affinity. Over the course of a relationship that can last as many as seven or eight decades, a lot happens. Personalities change, bodies age, and romantic love waxes and wanes. And no marriage is free of conflict.
