The Hill Korwa is particularly vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) which lives in the mountainous area of Chhattisgarh particularly Jashpur, Balrampur, Korba, Surguja. This research paper examines with focus on the health situation of the Hill Korwa tribe and the existing problems that concern it, such as high rates of various infectious diseases, malaria and tuberculosis in the first instance, as well as malnutrition and anemia. The paper explores all aspects of social and economical disadvantaged which affect their health including low literacy levels, poor economic status and inadequate or no access to health facilities. It also examines the involvement of government and none governmental organization (NGOs) in tackling the health issues through different intervention. However, even today the Hill Korwa tribe has several limitations, which include geographical accessibility, communication, and physical form of the area. Finally, policy enhancements recommendations for the health of the Hill Korwa tribe as well as the community health program and approach to sustainable development have been provided in the paper. These findings point the direction of the need to address the inadequacies in the delivery of health care services in the tribal areas along with acceptance and appreciation of the cultural divergence that exists in this network.
