Catharanthus roseus, a Subtropical evergreen shrub serves as a high valued medicinal plant . The extracts of the plant are used for treating various diseases like Cancer and Diabetics Catharanthus roseus also exhibits enormous biological properties such as Antioxidant, Antibacterial, Antidiabetic ,Antiulcer , Hypotensive etc. In the present study we attempted to study the Phytochemical Screening , Antioxidant activity by Free radical scavenging against DPPH, O2-, H2O2 and Antibacterial activity by Disc Diffusion method . The extracts prepared by Batch method from the leaves of Catharathus roseus are used for the study.
