In day-to-day life, it is important to modify, repair, rehabilitate, or reconstruct existing structures because of various factors like bond failure between beam and column joint, corrosion which leads to deterioration, natural disasters, etc. These factors result in the cracking of our structures, i.e. the structures become inservicible. Hence the modification of these structures is required. This paper shows an experimental study on RC beams retrofitted using unidirectional and bi-directional CFRP sheets. The main objective of this study is to investigate the behavior of RC beams after retrofitting with CFRP sheets.
