The implementation of GST in India has revolutionized the tax structure by consolidating numerous indirect taxes. The role of accountants has gained significant importance due to the shifts in tax compliance resulting from regulatory changes. The primary objective of this study was to examine and analyse accountants' perspectives on the advantages of GST for their profession. The research involved referencing a range of secondary sources and gathering primary data on professional accountants' perceptions through a meticulously designed questionnaire. The data was gathered from a sample of 200 respondents residing in Thane. To analyse the study, methods such as frequency analysis, percentage calculation, and weighted average calculation were employed to draw conclusions from the data. In conclusion, the study found that accountants in Thane city generally hold a positive perception towards the ease and efficiency in their work during the GST era, considering it beneficial for both their financial reporting and professional endeavours.
