Hingwashtaka Choorna is commonly used in the management of GIT disorders. Agnimandya, Ajirna, Atisaara, Grahani, Anaha, Adhmana, Atopa, Diarrheal disorders and Hingwashtaka choorna showed good results. The ingredients of Hingwashtaka choorna are having Dipana, Pachana, Grahi,Digestive, Appetizer, Carminative and anti diarrheal in actions. It helps in proper digestion, absorption of nutrients, absorption of water and improve the peristalsis and defecation. Hence it can be given in various diarrheal disorders associated with indigestion and constipation. As add on therapy also it can be given in some disorders. As it contains two types of jeeraka it is useful in the management of chronic gastritis and intestinal colics. The present paper deals with therapeutic uses of Hingwastaka choorna in an experiential and scientific view.
