Title

EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING AND ROLE CONFLICTS AMONG WOMEN TEACHERS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY ACROSS DIFFERENT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between psychological well-being and role conflicts among women teachers across various educational institutions. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 106 female educators regarding their demographics, teaching experiences, and perceptions of role conflicts. The findings revealed that a majority of respondents were below 25 years old, with most being married and having 5 to 10 years of teaching experience. Many participants reported feeling overwhelmed by balancing their professional and personal responsibilities, leading to anxiety and stress related to their teaching roles. While 45.28% felt their work-life balance was manageable, 42.45% acknowledged that role conflicts significantly impacted their overall well-being. Correlation analysis indicated significant relationships among age, marital status, teaching experience, and type of school, suggesting that these factors play a crucial role in the psychological well-being of women teachers. Additionally, the study highlighted the importance of support from colleagues and administration, with many participants expressing a need for enhanced support systems to navigate their dual roles effectively. Overall, the findings underscore the challenges faced by women educators and emphasize the necessity for institutions to implement strategies that promote mental health and mitigate role conflicts, thereby fostering a healthier and more supportive work environment. This research contributes valuable insights into the experiences of women teachers and the impact of role conflicts on their psychological well-being, paving the way for future studies in this critical area.
