A STUDY ON ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AND IT'S PROBLEMS
Abstract
Abstract: Due to the increasing population in the post-independence period, the country faced shortage of food grains. During this period, the central government started importing chemical fertilizers, seeds and pesticides and spreading them. Farmers were encouraged, farmers started using it. A lot of chemical fertilizers were used. Land is a very important natural factor in crop production. Both soil fertility and productivity are helpful in increasing crop production. Unbalanced use of chemical fertilizers, continuous cropping of land, improper use of water to get maximum yield from agricultural activities, have degraded the health of agricultural land. Due to this, we are facing problems like stunted growth of crops, reduction in qualitative production, infertility.
