ಮುಖ್ಯಾಂಶಗಳು:
: ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಶೋಷಣೆ, ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ, ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ, ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಬಡವರ ಹಸಿವಿನ ಉಲ್ಬಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿವೆ. ಆಹಾರ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯ ಏರಿಕೆಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಏರುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಭೂಮಾಲಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಡವಾಳಶಾಹಿಗಳು ಕೂಲಿಕಾರರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರನ್ನು ಶೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಬಡತನ ಮತ್ತು ಹಸಿವಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲು, ಬೇರೂರಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು.
