—Visually impaired individuals face significant challenges in their daily life. The proposed smart glasses platform, built around a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and a standard USB webcam, integrates four real-time computer vision modules: currency recognition, fire hazard detection, object identification, and printed text reading. Each module is independently activated through tactile push buttons, delivering instantaneous audio feed back via integrated speakers or earphones. The system leverages a combination of advanced algorithms, including ORB feature matching, deep learning models, quantized neural networks, and optical character recognition, to provide robust operation in varied environments. Emphasis is placed on ease of use, portability, and modularity, with a unified audio interface for seamless user interaction. Extensive practical evaluation demonstrates that the device operates with high reliability for all intended functions, ensuring timely feedback for enhanced safety and independence.
